This books starts off as a critique on how the news concentrates on celebrities rather than real news, and how this causes people to become unaware of real issues Then it started to become nonsensical and absurd. I was recommended this book to read by a friend and thoroughly enjoyed every page. This book is extremely funny, interesting and takes a real sideways look at life. There are so few books out there like this at the moment - my view is, like many other things in life, books are starting to, in the main, follow a formula and you feel like you have come across the story lines many times before; and you cannot move for crime thrillers! For me this book should get cult status and should be placed alongside 'The Dice Man' and 'The Third Policeman'. A plea to the author - please write another novel soon. I am off to recommend this book to as many people as I can.
